You have always been the most thoughtful, creative, and timely gift giver for birthdays and every other occasion, while I am the very worst! Today is your birthday and once again, nothing will you find in the mail box this year. So I'm hoping that this letter, with a few pictures and memories I've dug up, will make up for my chronic poor planning for and indecision with gift giving. I'm thinking of you today, wishing you the best birthday ever, and wishing I could be there to celebrate with you! I'm so happy for you, because guess what? Being 33 is the BEST!
I just knew I would have written something about my B.F.F. since Kindergarten in a journal somewhere!
Remember how sad we were when I had to switch schools? Cheers to our moms for making sure our friendship survived through constant play dates!
I can't believe we ever used to fight! I don't remember this. Do you?
Me and my friend Amy always get in fights. I always want to play Atari. She wants to play Cabbage Patch Kids. We always play dolls. I want to do something different.
SO funny!
Whether it's to help plan a beautiful bridal shower...
or travel long distance to be part of my wedding day...
be there to snuggle up to my newborn babies...
not once, not twice, but thrice!
(Allie was born during more modern times of digital photography, hence those photos are MIA at the moment!)
And you are still there, often, to watch as they grow...
(baby Sydney, ooooh!)
and GROW...
and grow!
Always willing and eager to travel once again, to spend time with me and my family. How did I get so lucky?
Thank you for loving my kids and for being a devoted friend to me. You truly know how to love, and keep friends close! Thank you for always being there.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
Love, Deann
B.F.F.

Happy Birthday Amy!!! I truly wish you a day filled with happiness!
Deann, this post was so sweet! This was the best gift to give a best friend. There is really not much I can remember from growing up in Diamond bar that doesn't include Amy in the memories! I will never forget the time I stayed with you at the Kieffers when mom and dad went out of town and you and Amy told me a goodnight story about a bird and a ribbon to calm me down for the night. Amy you have felt like a 5th sister to us Armes girls! Thanks for being a part of our memories!
Enjoy your day, I'll be sending you best happy birhtday wishes throughout the day!
AMY! Happy Birthday! I will forever have memories of you coming over on Christmas eve in your jammies! Our whole family loves you so much we are all so happy to see you whenever you come over. I thought you and deann were so cool and thought it was awesome that you got to go to doll camp. I remember you guys singing I love my ardvart (spelling?)! anyway, your the best, I hope you have a very happy birthday!
Amy, I don't know you but, Happy Birthday anyway!
Deann, your journal entries, so funny! Fighting over Atari and cabbage patch dolls. And that picture of Jack in the red plaid shirt! Such chubby cheeks, but he still looks so much the same.
Happy Birthday AMY(QUEEF)!!!SORRY! I just had too! I love you. You have been such a part of our family and your not only Deann's BFF but also ours too! You are in so many of our family photos and have gone on so many family vacations with us! Hey, why did Deann always get to bring a friend along? I guess you were so well tempered you just fit in! Remember camp? lol That was so much fun! Well Happy 33rd Birthday! Your catching up with me! Love you forever....!
p.s. I'm remembering your fun laugh and I hope you get a lot of laughing in today on your special day!
Happy Birthday Amy! It seems like just yesterday you were rolling your eyes at me for doing something abnoxious. Deann is lucky to have a great friend like you! Christmas Eves just aren't the same without you coming over in your jammies. Hopefully your family will forget how many times my mom made us serenade your family with Christmas carols. Sooooo embarrasing! Oh and before I forget, I NEVER poked her eye out! Let me know if you need further explanantion. Do you get it Deann?
I'm kind of starting to believe you, which makes that incident sooooo spooky!!!
Oh, the Christmas caroling!! Humiliating! Because we were like 17. Hee hee.
I rememnber the doll with the poked eye! Who poked her eye out?
You could have warned me! Sniff, Sniff. Happy Birthday Dear Amy. You have always been and will always be such a big part of our family. You have been with us through it all, even the noisy, chaotic holidays and special occasions. We loved having you in our home - what's one more right? We love you and wish you the best year ever!
